There is an epic little plugin called WP Nag Hide that will hide update notifications and plugin warnings in your top admin panel. You can hide notifications globally or just from individual plugins, like Yoast.
Don’t worry about missing anything. If you want to quickly check all your admin-panel notifications then just disable the plugin or enter it’s settings and enable the notifications from there.
